EVENT INFORMATION

Hello Rock CF runners and friends,

After sleepless nights, and stress filled days it is with much heartache that we are canceling the 10th annual Rock CF Rivers Half Marathon, 10 Miler, Relay & 5K on March 29, 2020. As we've stated, nobody is more upset about this decision than me and my team. The heart and soul of our race and organization has always been the cystic fibrosis community. These individuals, and myself are most susceptible to impacts of the Coronavirus/COVID19 which is one of the reasons we are taking this extreme measure. This is a global pandemic and we have chosen the option to help combat the spread of this disease, especially to those that it can do most harm.

The physical race on March 29 on Grosse Ile will not take place. Instead we are turning everyone's registration into a virtual option so that you all can still participate and support Rock CF.

What does a Virtual Run mean? You will receive your race shirt as well as the medal and race bib that correlates to the distance you registered for. (Registered for the half marathon? You will receive a half marathon bib and medal, etc). As of right now, we are unable to host the packet pickups due to the constraints of the Stay-in-Home order as well as the safety of our volunteers, employees and runners. We will continue to announce updates on packet pickups and mailing out your packets after it is deemed safe to do so.

We would sincerely like to thank Grosse Ile Township, Grosse Ile Township Schools, Grosse Ile Police Department, Vertex Pharmaceutics, Boomer Esiason Foundation, University of Michigan Home Med, Translate Bio, The Bonnell Foundation, Lifelong Family Dentistry, RUNdetroit, EnMotive/Greg and Jenni Everal, ALL of our amazing sponsors, volunteers and supporters over the last 10 years.

Virtual Run registration will remain open past the date of March 29th. We are down about 400+ runners due to the situation at hand, so we encourage you to please invite your family and friends to signup. We know there is a delay on you receiving the gear, but we ensure you that it will be worth it!

Thank you for your support during this time. Coronavirus may be taking the race out of the running but it will not take our cause out of it too! Let's come together to make our 10th Annual something special: by continuing to outrun CF wherever you are!

ALL Participants will receive a long sleeve tech shirt and finisher medal!
